Falcon and Territory supply only shrinks from here. If you are keeping one on the road it is worth asking early rather than waiting until the part is unobtainable.
How do I find out if you have the part I need?
Falcon fitment is the thing worth getting right, because the model ran through many series and the parts are not interchangeable across all of them. A BA, a BF and an FG differ in ways that matter, and within those there are wagon, ute and sedan variations plus the XR and turbo versions. Tell us the series and the VIN rather than just the year. Rangers are more straightforward, but the pre and post facelift versions differ on lighting and trim, so it is still worth checking. If you are after something for a Territory, mention whether it is a rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive car, because the driveline components are completely different.
Why buy second hand rather than new?
Ford is the clearest case in Australia for buying second hand, because the supply is finite and shrinking. Local production ended in 2016, which means every Falcon and Territory panel, module and interior part still in circulation came off a car that is already on the road. Nothing new is being manufactured and nothing will be. A dealer simply cannot order you a Falcon guard any more. Second hand is not the cheap option here, it is very often the only option, and that is why we tell Falcon owners to buy the part when they see it rather than wait until the car actually needs it.
Do you deliver, or do I collect?
Falcon and Territory panels are large and easily damaged in transit, so we would rather you collected them from Alexandra Hills than risk a courier putting a crease in a guard that cannot be replaced. If you are coming in, ring first so we can have the part out and ready rather than have you wait while we pull it.
