If you are after something Patrol-specific, ring rather than assume. We can often tell you when the right donor vehicle is due into the yard.
How do I find out if you have the part I need?
Patrol fitment is the one to get right, because the GQ, GU and Y62 are effectively three different vehicles and share very little. Tell us which one you have and whether it is petrol or diesel, because the driveline components differ completely. Navaras split the same way between the D22, D40 and NP300, and the D40 in particular had a well-known automatic transmission issue that sends a lot of people looking for a used box. X-Trail and Qashqai parts are more straightforward, but the CVT transmissions differ between model years so the VIN is still worth having.
Why buy second hand rather than new?
Nissan's 4WD range is where second hand makes the most sense, because these are vehicles people deliberately keep for twenty years. A GU Patrol owner is not going to write the car off because a diff has failed, and the dealer price for a replacement is often more than the market value of the whole vehicle. Used driveline components off a comparable Patrol solve that at a sensible cost. The same logic applies to the D40 Navara automatics, which is why a used gearbox is one of the most asked-about items we carry.
Do you deliver, or do I collect?
Patrol and Navara driveline is heavy and collected from Alexandra Hills. Smaller electrical and interior parts we can send out. If you are coming in, ring first so we can have the part out and ready rather than have you wait while we pull it.
