How do I find out if you have the part I need?
The single most useful thing you can give us is the VIN. Make, model and year gets us close, but two cars that look identical on the road can take different parts depending on the month they were built and the trim they left the factory in, and that is where people waste a trip. The VIN removes the guesswork entirely. If you do not have it, the build plate under the bonnet or in the door jamb carries the same information. It is also worth describing the fault rather than just naming the part, because we see the same failures repeatedly and can often point you at a cheaper or more reliable fix than the one you had in mind.
Why buy second hand rather than new?
The honest answer is that it depends on the car. For a late-model vehicle still under warranty, new is usually right. For anything older than about eight years, or any make that has stopped local production, second hand is frequently the only realistic option, because new panels and modules simply are not manufactured any more. The other argument is quality: a used part that came off a running car is a known quantity in a way that a cheap aftermarket copy is not, particularly for body panels and lighting where a copy that is a few millimetres out will never sit properly.

Engines, gearboxes, diffs and body panels are collection items from our Alexandra Hills yard. Smaller components can be sent. If you are coming in, ring first so we can have the part out and ready rather than have you wait while we pull it.
